Lost Property Policy

 At Amber Springs Hotel, we understand how important personal belongings are to our guests and we make every effort to reunite lost items with their owners.

 

 

Lost Property Disclaimer of Liability

While Amber Springs Hotel will make every reasonable effort to locate and return lost property, the hotel accepts no liability for items that are lost, damaged, or not recovered

Lost Property Retention 

 All items found within guest accommodation are transferred to our Lost Property Department, which is located in a secure area of the hotel. Items of significant value, including jewellery, watches, cash, electronic devices, and other valuable possessions, are securely stored in our Lost Property Safe.

 For identification purposes, all lost property recovered from guest accommodation is recorded with the relevant room number and departure date where possible.

Items found in public areas of the hotel, including restaurants, leisure facilities, meeting rooms, and hotel grounds, are also processed through our Reception Lost Property Department. Valuable items found in these areas are likewise secured in our Lost Property Safe.

 Retention Period for Lost Property

• General items: 3 months 

• Valuable items (jewellery, electronics, wallets, passports): 6 months 

Cash found on hotel premises will be recorded and secured in the Lost Property Safe. Unclaimed cash after the retention period will be transferred in accordance with hotel policy.

Items that remain unclaimed after this period will be responsibly disposed of, donated, or discarded at the discretion of hotel management.

Arranging the Return of Lost Property

If you believe you have left an item behind during your stay, please contact our Reception Team  00-353-(0)53-9484000 as soon as possible or simply complete the Lost Property Form below. 

 

Where an item is located, we can arrange for it to be returned by post. Please note Items returned by post are sent at the guest's risk. Amber Springs Hotel cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged during transit.

Postal Charges

For deliveries within the Republic of Ireland Only

 Standard parcel fee up to 2kg is €9.00. Parcels exceeding 2kg will be charged based on weight. 

Standard postal service does not include tracking or insurance.

It can take three to five business days for the property to arrive

Guests may request tracked or insured delivery where available, we would kindly advise guests to arrange their own courier service for these services.

 International & Northern Ireland Returns

For items requiring delivery outside the Republic of Ireland, including Northern Ireland, guests are kindly request to arrange their own courier service or organise collection directly from the hotel.

 Amber Springs Hotel will make every reasonable effort to assist with the collection process; however, all courier arrangements and associated costs remain the responsibility of the guest.
